Reza Athari

Reza Athari is a member of California bar and an international lawyer. He practiced law outside the United States prior to admission to the California bar in 1996. His total practice as an attorney exceeds 25 years.Mr. Athari's passion is immigration law. This passion has allowed Mr. Athari to dedicate himself to help immigrant families and businesses. He started Reza Athari and Associates as a solo practitioner in 1997. Ever since, his practice has grown steadily throughout the years, and now is one of the leading law offices in the field of immigration law in Las Vegas, Nevada and throughout the United States. His offices became a multijurisdictional law firm in 2003 and the firms practice area has extended to other legal matters in Nevada and California including family, criminal and personal injury.

In September 2004, Mr. Athari successfully applied and passed the exams for legal specialization and became a Certified Specialist in immigration law by the State Bar of California, Board of Legal Specialization. He provides immigration and other federal law-based services throughout the United States including his offices in Nevada and Utah.

Riana Durrett-Of Counsel

Riana Durrett joined Reza Athari & Associates in 2009. Prior to that she served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Judge Elissa Cadish in the Eighth Judicial District Court. In 2008, Ms. Durrett graduated from the Boyd School of Law, where she served as vice-president on the Student Bar Association, she acted as student liaison to the Alumni Association, and conducted research for two professors. While attending law school, Ms. Durrett participated in legal externships at the Clark County District Attorney's office, the Henderson City Attorney's office, and the Suquamish Tribal Court in Suquamish, Washington.

Ms. Durrett is licensed in Nevada and her application for her California license is currently pending. She is a member of the Howard M. McKibben chapter of the Inns of Court, Nevada Attorneys for Criminal Justice, and Southern Nevada Association of Women Attorneys.

Seth L. Reszko

Seth L. Reszko is the senior associate at Reza Athari & Associates. Mr. Reszko joined Reza Athari & Associates in May 2001 and is an accomplished immigration and criminal law attorney. Seth L. Reszko graduated with a J.D. from Touro College, Jacob D. Fuchsburg Law Center in 1993, where he received a Public Interest Award Fellowship Award in 1992. Seth L. Reszko was admitted to practice law in the State of New York in 1994. Mr. Reszko practiced as a sole practitioner in New York for three years before relocating to Las Vegas, Nevada and working at Reza Athari & Associates.

Mr. Reszko was admitted to practice law in the State of Nevada in 2005. Attorney Reszko is also admitted to practice in federal court before the First, Third and Ninth Circuit Courts of Appeals as well as the United States District Court for the District of Nevada. Mr. Reszko is currently a member of the Nevada Attorneys for Criminal Justice in Clark County, Nevada.

Mr. Reszko successfully argued as attorney of record before the Nevada Supreme Court in Rubio v. State, 194 P.2d 1224 (2008) and was also attorney of record for a prominent published decision before the Third Circuit Court of Appeals in De Regla Santana Gonzalez v. United States AG, 506 F.3d 274 (3rd Cir. 2007). Mr. Reszko has appeared and argued several cases before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. While working with Reza Athari and the other associates at the firm, Reza Athari & Associates has grown to become one of the largest and accomplished immigration law firms in the State of Nevada.
